"18th Century Miniature: Young Woman"
Miniature of round shape painted in watercolor and gouache from the end of the 18th century. A pretty young woman is represented in bust and three-quarters. Her fine face is of great sweetness; she sketches a small smile. Her voluminous powdered hairstyle ends in English on the shoulders. She is dressed in a dress of shimmering fabric partly covered by a white silk shawl and decorated on the bottom of the neckline with a small bouquet of flowers. This charming portrait is in its Louis XVI gilded bronze frame surrounded by 2 rows of small pearls. Signature on the right side difficult to decipher. D: 8cm Frame: 10 X 8cm Good condition.
