Inro with 4 compartments in fundame lacquer; decorated with sennin in takamaki and gold lacquer and turtle scales under a tree near a stream.
The sides of the inro in roiro lacquer decorated in hiramaki and gold lacquer with scrolls.
The interior of the compartments are in nashiji lacquer.

Japan, 19th century.
Scattered wear. Note a lack on one of the wise men.
