"Louis XIV Period Mirror In Gilded Wood, Bérain Decor And Antique Bust Pediment, Early 18th Century"
Charming Louis XIV period mirror in carved and gilded wood. Simple frame in engraved baguette in the Bérain style surrounding an original mercury mirror with a very small bevel (it is almost invisible). The pediment is particularly decorative with acanthus scrolls, and a large oval medallion with an antique bust statue under a passementerie dai. The mounting at the back is with keys, the pediment held by large wrought iron nails. The mercury glass shows traces of oxidation and a visible shock in the middle (see photo). Louis XIV period, early 18th century. Delivery flat in a wooden crate on a small pallet, 150 euros in France, 300 euros in the EU and 600 euros rest of the world.
