"Porcelain Biscuit: "the Nest Finders" Signed Auguste Moreau On The Terrace At The Beginning Of The 20th Century"
This delightful porcelain biscuit after Auguste Moreau (1834-1917) is signed intaglio on the right side of the terrace. This group "The nest finders" depicts a young girl holding a cage in her hand, encouraging a child to free the bird he is holding in his hand, because the chicks are in the nest. Auguste Moreau was born in Dijon in 1834 and died in Malesherbes in 1917. This biscuit in excellent condition has had a small old repair: the end of the little finger glued back on.
