Ivory netsuke depicting two karakos (i.e. children dressed in Chinese fashion) playing with a mask.

Japan, Meiji period (1868-1912).
Beautiful and light patina of use on the roughness of the piece.
Good condition, note however the presence of the crack on the top of the skull of the child behind.
