LETTER WITH COLOR VIGNETTES FROM THE IMPERIAL GUARD GRENADIERS - SKIRTS OF PRIVATE MICHEL LA SOUCHE, of the 6th Regiment in Vourbevoie, TO HIS PARENTS, March 30, 1812. 18880-14 Beautiful letterhead with color vignettes in an oval of Napoleon and Marie-Louise, and a soldier standing in uniform leaning on his rifle. Postmark "ALENÇON". Letter intended for the parents of soldier Michel LASOUCHE "Mr. Jean LA SOUCHE Plowman in the village Frilouze Canton of La Ferté Masé Department Da Lan Sont (Alençon)" who is "grenadier rifleman in the 1st Battalion 3rd Company 6th Regiment in Courbevoie near Paris or following the regiment". "Courbevoie, March 30, 1812. My dear land, my mayor chair I am writing to you to inquire about the state of your health as mine is very good and I hope that this will find you the same as well as for my godson and my sisters Magalaize.
