Object description :

"Biscuit Porcelain Group - Bacchus And Bacchantes - Neoclassical Style 19th Century"
Elegant biscuit group in neoclassical style. It represents the god Bacchus and his bacchantes playing music. It is a production of the end of the 19th century. Ideal to complete a neoclassical decoration of the 18th century Louis XVI, Directory or Empire; these decorative objects are typical of this period, to be placed on a chest of drawers or fireplace in addition to a clock or on a festive table for a refined dinner. It is a piece decorated from all angles, intended to be seen from all sides in the center of a table for example or with its back to a mirror. Very fine representation conforming with many neat details: facial expression, musculature, finesse of the details of the clothes. Perfect condition, Bacchus is missing 2 fingers (discreet). Width: 19.5cm Height: 24cm Depth: 16cm
