"Serpentine Green Marble Boar Sculpture Late 19th Century"
Superb sculpture in serpentine green marble representing a wild boar sitting on its hind legs. The wild boar is presented on a molded monobloc base, work of great finesse and finely chiseled. Superb detail of the mouth and the fleece, the effect of the stone gives the appearance of a bronze sculpture. Italian work of the Grand Tour late 19th early 20th century after the model of Pietro Tacca. The whole in very good condition.
