Ludovic Alleaume. Oil on canvas "le Pont en Majesté" signed lower right L. Alleaume. French school. 61 X 46 cm. Ludovic Alleaume was born in Angers in 1859 and died in Paris in 1941. He was a student of Ernest Antoine Hébert (1817-1908) and Nicolas Luc Olivier Merson (1846-1920) at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1883 to 1938. The Museums of Angers, Laval and Rio-de-Janeiro have some of his works. (Sources Bénézit, : dictionary of painters and sculptors). Unframed. Good condition. Requires cleaning to enhance it.
