Head of a woman
Around 1930
Marble H. 42 cm
Signed: Alb Richard
Born in Paris, a student of Jules Coutan and Charles Victor Peter at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, Albert Richard exhibited regularly at the Salon in the 20s and 30s. It is worth noting that one of the teachers, Peter, had worked with Rodin. This fine work exhibits an aesthetic of the non-finito, and one would say that it was done in taille directe by the sculptor himself.
