"François Linke - Louis XV Style Desk Table"
François Linke (1855 -1946) Beautiful desk table in rosewood and violet wood veneer. Marquetry of crosspieces, squares and fillets. Curved sides, concave front, convex back. Top with rounded corners and ingot mold, large drawer without crosspiece, arched legs. Ornamentation on all sides of gilded and finely chiseled bronzes: foliated rocaille, offcuts and sabots. Oak frame, french polish. Signed on the lock and inside a bronze. Circa 1880. Height 73 cm, width 75 cm, depth 46 cm.
