"Louis XIII "cabaret" Table, 18th Century, In Walnut."
The four-edged top was used to play dice or cards in salons or cabarets; hence their name. It opens to a large drawer, on a beautiful base with four turned legs with two 'spindles', ending in "balls". They are joined by a "square" spacer, in turned spindles, the wear of which can be seen from the players' feet. Regional work in very good original condition, for this charming little "playing table".
