Important secretary in rosewood, amaranth and green-stained maple veneer. Curved sides, arched front. It opens with a large flap and two doors with cut sides. Rosewood marquetry in butterfly wings on a background of amaranth. The flap reveals six small drawers inlaid with gilded bronze pull knobs. Top covered in leather edged with hot-iron gilding. Rounded uprights with cut sides, arched feet. Low scalloped crosspiece, breccia marble top with corbin beak. Lock entries and rocaille sabots in gilded bronze. French polish. Circa 1760.
