Ch. Béroud : “Still Life with Peaches and Roses”, oil on mahogany panel approximately 20 X 25 cm, mounted in a black and gold frame with an inverted slope 27 X 33 cm (minor accidents). Signed and dated 91, the initials of the first name can also be read as “Th”. This charming Still Life, chiseled by zenithal lighting, shows us a pyramid of peaches formed after the harvest of which the basket still remains where a few roses still rest ready to be arranged in a bouquet.
