"Cabinet Forming Office Signed Sormani"
Cabinet in blackened wood and marquetry forming a desk. The upper part has a central door opening onto a locker containing two drawers. Eight small drawers (four on each side) frame this door. The middle part opens and reveals a leather-covered shelf for use as a desk. There are also three drawers above the shelf (two on the left and a larger one on the right). Superb marquetry of great finesse. A plate on a lock bears the signature Sormani et fils 10 rue Charlot in Paris. This cabinet has been restored. DIMENSIONS: 1.15m wide, 0.50m deep and 1.69m high. The writing tablet is 0.75m high.
