Beautiful set of four dark purple velvet fabrics. The decoration consists of beautiful floral patterns in gold embroidered fabrics sewn onto another purple fabric to give more relief. Each foliage detail is delicately highlighted with a thick gold thread on the edge and a finer thread with sequins in the center of some leaves, the whole is sewn by hand. These four fabrics were made under Napoleon III, they can be very simply integrated into an interior for example in the form of cushions.
