Pair of candlesticks mounted as lamps in gilded bronze attributed to Louis-Félix de Larue (after a drawing by.) sculptor Clodion The couple of winegrower puttos are naked wearing a crown of grapes and vines holding in each hand a spirally fluted cornucopia with grapes and vine leaves. One is standing the other is seated on a rock, on a circular base in green marble. Very beautiful gilding of French origin 19th century An identical pair is in the Pavlovsk Palace, illustrated in A. Kuchumov, Pavlovsk, The Palace and the Park, 1976, pl. 220. Another pair, listed at the beginning of the 19th century in the Empress's lunch room at the Château de Compiègne, is now in the Louvre Museum
