- Sugar spoon in silver gilt with a double line model. The spoon is decorated with a pierced central rosette surrounded by a laurel wreath doubled by a frieze of tulips.
- The pierced with a frieze of tulips on the edge of the spoon is found on the drawing of a sugar spoon kept in the cabinet of prints and drawings of Strasbourg [Inv. LXV.75]. A fillet spoon with an identical repiercé, dated 1784 is referenced in the Noël collection, another from the goldsmith Johann Fritz dated 1760 with an almost identical repiercé was presented at the exhibition "Vermeilleux!" under number 47 [5]. It is interesting to note this consistency in the repiercé over nearly forty years, the model of which must have been transmitted from workshop to workshop. - Hallmarks (on the stem): recognition: small 13 surmounted by a fleur-de-lys, small recognition for Strasbourg, 1750-1789 [4, p.37 & Helft n°1112b]; jurande: 5 with helmet, Strasbourg, 1789 [1]; master goldsmith: in a rectangle, ALBERTI for Jocob Heinrich Alberti, master goldsmith in Strasbourg from 1764 to 1795. - A talented goldsmith, many works by this goldsmith are preserved in public and private collections: at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Strasbourg, a pinched-rib silver-gilt cup decorated with chiseled garlands, a bowl and its tray in an antique style also in the same collections…
