China, Tang period (618-907), very beautiful Chinese terracotta statue depicting a court lady commonly called "Fat Lady". Her body is hidden under a loose garment, enhanced with pigments in shades of white and beige punctuated with black flowers, leaving only the shoes visible. The face, full and serene, is a beautiful white hue. It is topped with a complex hairstyle in an arc of a circle tinted black. Height 29.5 cm. The scale indicator in the last photograph is a small model of a lighter from a brand known to all. Condition: Head broken at the neck and glued back together. Impact at the left elbow having caused significant cracks with loss of material. The end of the left foot is missing (see photographs; other shots are available on request). No thermoluminescence test but the origin and sincerity of this piece speak entirely in its favor. We take special care with our packaging by using optimum protection.
