Rare and unique piece that this oval terrine elongated with a pike lid, of a power of execution this very decorative and expressive piece is incontestably a unique work not molded and worked with brilliance. I place it first part of the 20th century and its classical canon does not allow to say more on the period of this piece very inspired by the creations in high relief of Bernard Palissy. Of a great expressiveness the look and the undulating posture of the fish, the grip of the lid; a wave on its back, all is majesty and elegance; with soft tones and a successful enamel this piece of usual kitchen is in fact a very successful work of art, by the material the technique of modeling and the beautiful glaze, it is in fact one would have qualms to place it in an oven for which it was intended, but in table decoration or on a piece of furniture; its presence being of the most pretty effect.
