Full calf binding, ribbed spine decorated with gilded iron in the boxes, red morocco title, red edges, marbled guards, Bookplate with the Arms of Levoyer d'Argenson, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Louis XV (comes from the Château des Ormes, Loire Valley). "Elements of Tactics, Work in which we deal with the arrangement and formation of troops; the evolutions of Infantry & Cavalry; the principal orders of battle; the march of Armies & Castrametation, or the manner of tracing Camps by rules & by principles.
