"Oil On Canvas By Pierre Bosco (1909-1993) Expressionism (bonnard-derain-vuillard)"
Large oil on canvas by Pierre Bosco depicting roosters, one of his favorite themes. Dimensions without frame: 81x60cm By learning the profession of painting restorer, he became familiar with the techniques of large-scale painting. His early works already show an instinctive sensitivity to colors and a desire to give a volumetric dimension to his images, a true common thread of his future artistic creation. He enjoyed success in the 1950s. It was during this period that he created the Association of Independent Painters (API) in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, bringing together his painter friends. He organized exhibitions featuring Jean Souverbie, Roger Chastel, the Vera Brothers, Antoni Clavé, Gomery and Edoardo Samartino.
