Rare small porridge spoon in solid silver hallmarked with the Fermiers Généraux de Paris (letter O Paris 1777) and discharge hallmark small works dog's head (1774-80), goldsmith's hallmark JEL for Langlois*, shell model, from the 18th century. This spoon is in its original condition. Initials on the handle. It is very rare to find a porridge spoon entirely in solid silver! Please note: numerous shocks and wear from use, very worn shell on the handle, look carefully at the photos. * Goldsmith Jean-Etienne Langlois (JEL, fleur-de-lys coyuronnée - branch): received as a master in Paris on February 7, 1770; this goldsmith still had a shop in 1793.
