"Large Lebrillo Pottery Minorca Spain XIX"
Very large glazed terracotta lebrillo, late 19th - early 20th century, in its original patina. A multipurpose container traditionally used in the south and southwest of France as well as in Spain, it was used in particular for preparing food (jams, preserves, etc.). This old pottery, from a Minorcan finca in the Balearic Islands, is evidence of remarkable folk art. An old repair made using staples tells the story of this piece and adds to its unique charm. Entirely hand-made, this lebrillo, marked by the passage of time, shows subtle traces of use that underline its authenticity. The finca mark is delicately painted on the bottom, an additional sign of its origin. Particularly decorative, it seduces with its warm colors, its period patina and the harmonious simplicity of its shapes. Dimensions: 67 cm in diameter - 24 cm in height For any additional information, additional photos or delivery options, we invite you to contact us.
