"Henri Gauthier : Large Regency Style Sterling Silver Ewer / Pitcher - Mascarons"
Spectacular large Regency style solid silver ewer / pitcher resting on a circular foot bordered by a delightful frieze. Body with sides with applied decoration on the lower part composed of lambrequins with Lion Heads, framed on the corners by reeds, all on an amati background. Fabulous Mascaron under the spout and female bust surmounting the handle. Meticulously hand crafted from the highest quality silver, it is punched with the Minerva 1st Standard(.950) hallmarks and mark of Master Goldsmith Henri GAUTHIER received in 1902. This spectacular Regency style ewer with exceptional decoration is in excellent condition, revised and cleaned by our goldsmith, and only micro-scratches from use to note.
