Cardeilhac : Renaissance Style Sterling Silver Tray - "fer De Lance" Fleur De Lys Pattern

Sumptuous Renaissance style Solid Silver Serving Tray, of rectangular form with cut sides. Tray bordered by an openwork frieze with Fleur-de-Lis at the corners / edges. Background with chased decoration of Spearheads at the corners, with stylized monogram in its center in a surround of interlacing leafy and flowery branches (Art Nouveau inspired, probably the result of his collaboration with the designer Lucien Bonvallet in the 1890s-1900s). Minerva Hallmark 1st Title (.950) and Hallmark of Master Goldsmith Armand-Edouard CARDEILHAC (Hallmark with the initials "EC", a crescent below, and a crowned cross of honor) received in 1851, struck out in 1904.
