Escalier de Cristal (1804 -1923), a company founded by Mrs. Marie Desarnaud, manufactured furniture by combining cut crystal with gilded bronze (Gold Medal at the Exhibition of French Industrial Products of 1819 for its dressing table for the Duchess Berry). From 1870, it produced 18th century style furniture.
