Pair of very small Satsuma or Kyoto ceramic vases, late 19th century, unmarked, 6-sided baluster shape, shoulders covered in relief with simulated gold embroidery, above, a rotating decoration of the most beautiful polychrome and gilded flower garden that can be seen on such a small surface.
Base is surrounded by a plinth decorated in gold with alternating geometric flower motifs, neck with Greek frets,
Dimensions: each: 11.8cm x 6.5cm.
Condition is quite good, with wear from use, one chip under a vase, and, (which explains our low price,) old restorations of chips on neck, not obvious, see our photos.
