A commode Sauteuse with musical instruments marquetry, Louis XVI period circa 1780
An elegant and decorative chest of drawers with a slightly projecting center, inlaid with satinwood, amaranth, boxwood, and sycamore, decorated on the front with fillets, musical instruments, and flowers, opening to two drawers without a crossbar. The sides are inlaid with vases and bunches of flowers. The flat jambs with simulated columns end in four elegant sheathed legs. Gilt bronze ornamentation, including lock escutcheons, pull rings, and sabots. Belgium Rance Marble top.
