"Victor Marais-milton - Lady At The Window"

The painting is very bright and meticulously executed, full of details such as the lace collar, the fabric of the chair or the sculptures of the fireplace. Oil on panel signed lower right, early 20th century. Framed, restored frame. Measures: 26.5x 21.5cm and with the frame 42x37cm Victor Marais-Milton, French painter of genre scenes. At the beginning of his career, he lived in Paris, then moved to Sèvres where he remained until his death. He studied in the Jonchère studio with Ernest Meissonnier. He debuted at the Paris Salon of 1892 and also exhibited in Antwerp, London, Monte Carlo, Germany and the United States.
