"Louis XV Period Sèvres Cooling Buckets"
Two pair of soft porcelain 18th century cooling buckets bearing a blue mark with two intertwined L's and a letter dated R corresponding to the year 1770. In the 18th century, sold by the royal manufacture of Sèvres under the name of ordinary half-bottle buckets, they rest on a small pedestal enhanced with gold threads. The decoration of a scattering of roses and plant garlands is topped with a band of crowns of roses interspersed with a blue decoration of the King sublimated with fine gold. The side handles are in the shape of shells enhanced with gilding. Each piece bears the same signature signifying a genuine pair delivered in 1770. In perfect condition without wear to the decoration as well as Ala gilding! No restoration, cracks or chips.
