This superb silk cashmere with Kashan decoration is in very good condition and has a respective size of 125 cm wide by 182 cm long.
The quality of these beautiful natural Kashmir silks is no longer to be demonstrated.
One can only be admiring in front of the work and the abundance of patterns, stylized flowers, birds, arabesques covering this rug, its medallion, its halberd-shaped pendants and its borders.
The colors of great softness, are composed of an ivory background, almond green, blues including a very pale blue, straw yellow causing contrasts while separating the patterns.
The thickness of this carpet is 5 mm, which makes it a flexible piece but whose hold on the ground is stiffened by the density of the knots.
This carpet in natural silk on fine cotton, hand-knotted around 1980 is in superb condition.
The region of Srinagar in Kashmir, is where these wonders are produced and where they were produced, silk on silk or silk on cotton.
Srinagar, the Venice of India, its carpets decorated with gardens, like the gardens of Shalimar, its papier-mâché, and its colorful culture.
