Bernard Thiran (attributed to) complete vintage blue glazed ceramic coffee set, ca 1970/80.
In perfect condition, for 6 people, 2 extra cups and saucers included.
Some pieces of the service are monogrammed. The quality, technique and shades remind us of Bernard Thiran, during which time he worked alongside Antonio Lampecco in his workshops.
Biography:
THIRAN, Bernard (Kinshasa/Zaire, 1954).
Talented Belgian ceramist, trained in Antonio Lampecco's workshop (Florence Sepulchre, Bernard Thiran and Maurice Joly). Sometimes works with architects to integrate his work into buildings, notably the Casino in Namur and the Notre-Dame-au-Bois chapel in Wépion. In 1984, co-founder of ‘Namur Bouge'. Work acquired by the French Community. Active in Hastière-par-Delà. Certaines pièces du service sont monogrammées. La qualité, la technique et les teintes nous font penser à Bernard Thiran, période durant laquelle il a travaillé en compagnie de Antonio Lampecco dans ses ateliers.

Céramiste belge de talent, formation à l'atelier d'Antonio Lampecco (Florence Sepulchre, Bernard Thiran et Maurice Joly). Collabore parfois avec des architectes pour l'intégration de ses œuvres dans des bâtiments notamment au Casino à Namur et à la chapelle Notre-Dame-au-Bois de Wépion. En 1984, co-fondateur de «Namur Bouge». Œuvre acquise par la Communauté française. Actif à Hastière-par-Delà. Par la suite, il décore ses créations avec des motifs ressemblant à des graffitis.
