He began drawing and painting at a very young age. Encouraged by his parents, he joined the Marseille School of Fine Arts at the age of fourteen. Georges Terzian only stayed there for one year, to become a shoemaker. However, he continued to paint in his studio in Saint-Mitre, near Marseille. Terzian also learned music and song from Jean Lumière in Paris. He also performed in some cabarets in Montmartre. His early works are marked by the landscapes of his childhood in Provence and are very influenced by Impressionism, particularly by the compositions of Cézanne. In the 1960s, Georges Terzian moved to Paris. A prolific painter, he developed his own post-cubist style, inspired by the work of Braque and Picasso, which is found in his still lifes. Georges Terzian sees his universe as a symphony of colors and shapes, the dynamism of which he transmits in each of his paintings. During a long stay in Moscow, Georges Terzian was made aware of the Constructivist movement. His compositions, until now, reflect his interest in two- and three-dimensional structures. Georges TERZIAN communicates his exuberance and the colors of life with frenzy, while keeping the music in his work, which makes him a polymorphic and singular artist. Georges Terzian exhibited and sold his works all over the world, notably in the United States and Great Britain. He died in 2021
