This elegant scene featuring the Madonna and Child together with St. John the Evangelist and St. John the Baptist, is a typical "Holy Conversation" with the unmistakable characteristics of Venetian painting of the 16th century.
The author, with an excellent hand, is inspired by the famous compositions of Bellini and Palma il Giovane, using with great effectiveness the pictorial and chromatic teachings of the great masters, with an excellent application of the shades and a perfect combination of the colors.
The canvas in fact, despite having been executed in the 19th century, presents all the characteristics of Renaissance canvases so as to fascinate the viewer, managing to transmit the same emotions.
The beautiful golden and engraved box frame that completes the work is very effective and increases the importance of the painting.
