Raoul Pradier trained at the Ecole des Métiers d'Arts in Paris. He exhibited at the Salon d'Automne in 1951, and the critics praised his promising beginnings.
He exhibited the following year at the Indépendants, and in 54 at the Salon des Jeunes Peintres, which awarded him its Young Painting prize.
Since then, he has exhibited regularly at the Salon Comparaisons and the Galerie Romanet has organized several solo exhibitions for him.
The post-war period is characterized by a great sobriety of tones, his palette later lightened, as in this composition with characters, with a more expressionist character.
