Spanish painter born in Ruzafa, Valencia. He learned the art of engraving under the direction of Rocafort. He was a student of Mariano Liñán before continuing his teaching in Paris, at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts. He then returned to Spain where he was appointed professor of engraving at the Academy of San Carlos in Valencia. He painted mainly portraits and seascapes. Our painting, although small, is a real portrait of a boat. The colors are beautiful, especially the magnificent blue of the sea. It is dated 1889.
