Beautiful seascape showing fishing boats with brick-colored sails, moored on a rocky coast, probably in Brittany. Several characters animate the scene, women wearing headdresses and long petticoats. On the water other boats sail, all sails out. The sky is lively, loaded with clouds.
The work is signed J. Mauro at the bottom right. A label bearing the name of the painter and the title of the work is affixed to the back.
The work is clean, in very good condition. It is offered in a modern frame in aged gilded wood.
