"Reliquary. Flanders. Eighteenth Century."
Rare and beautiful reliquary in blackened wood, ebony, gilded wood and tortoiseshell. It is composed, in a central panel, of an abundant sculpted and gilded network around and escaping from a vase and shells entwining eighteen ancient reliquary housings. This same panel is flanked by twisted columns topped with vases then sculpted representations of Saint John and a Virgin and Child Jesus. Louis XV period. Around 1750.
