"Imari Porcelain Vase - Gilt Bronze Mount - 19th Century"
Pretty covered potiche in polychrome porcelain from Japan (IMARI), assembled for the European market in the 19th century with gilded bronzes decorated with lion heads applied on the shoulder, laurel garland, rosettes and fluting. It has its lid surmounted by a fö dog. Its polychrome coral blue enamels enhanced with gold are decorated with shishi and birds of paradise, among peonies and lotuses. Part of the decoration is also in imitation of trimmings. The density of the shades is characteristic of the styles of Chinese imported pieces produced from the second half of the 19th century. Louis XVI style object and 19th century period. The potiche and its lid are in good condition. Please note that there are some firing cracks inside the lid (see photos).
