Rare Ewer / Covered Pitcher in Solid Silver from the late 18th century-Empire. It rests on a circular foot with a frieze of water leaves, a motif that can be found as a reminder encircling the body and edging the neckline. Openwork handle with leafy friezes ending in a spectacular Mascaron attachment (see photo). Ewer with its original lid topped with a twisted seed. Body engraved with Coat of Arms with Marquis' Crown. Hallmarks of 1st Title called "Coq" (.950) and guarantee (.950) by PARIS 1798-1809, Hallmarks of the Association of Goldsmiths and Hallmarks of Master Goldsmith Jean-Nicolas BOULANGER (Hallmark with the initials "JNB" and a pestle) received in February 1783. Rare and exceptional Armorial covered ewer from the late 18th-Empire period in very good condition, also revised and cleaned by our Goldsmith, micro-scratches from use.
