Marcel Cosson is a French post-impressionist painter. He first exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris, of which he became a member, honorable mention in 1901, third medal in 1911, then at the Salon de la Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts and that of the Tuileries. He often deals with subjects of opera, ballets, circus. He established himself as a painter of women, of Parisian life, of the world of dance and theater. He also distinguished himself more rarely, but no less brilliantly, in the painting of sumptuous bouquets.
