"The Judgment Of Solomon - Circa 1600 "
A work from the northern Mannerist school from the very beginning of the 16th century, whose main characteristics can be found in its many theatrical characters with elongated poses, expressive gestures and contrasting colours. We will appreciate the attention paid to the draperies and architectural details. The painting is attributable to Elsheimer Adam (1574-1610) but the Flemish entourage of Pieter Isaacsz (1569-1625) is also pertinently evoked. Our Biblical scene is bathed in a certain softness that is quite paradoxical with the moment represented.
The dimensions of our oil on copper are 36 cm by 30 Dimensions with the frame 44 cm by 50.
