"18th Century Mother-of-pearl Fly Box "
Pretty mother-of-pearl fly box applied with silver leaves. The decoration is with scrolls, birds and plants. It is in perfect condition, no missing parts. The structure of the box is in ivory. Inside there are two small compartments with lids for flies (small circles of black fabric imitating the beauty spots very popular in the 18th century) and a place for the brush. Everything is in perfect original condition. Beautiful example of these precious objects, essential accessories at the time for any woman of high society. Dimensions: 6.5cm / 5cm / 2.8cm.
