"15th Century Stone Pinnacle"
Beautiful 15th century stone pinnacle in Gothic style with foliage decoration. Architectural element that had to be embedded in a whole. Small lack of foliage DOCUMENTATION in the 14th century these ornaments become more elaborate, slavishly imitate the flora, then they adopt very particular forms borrowed from the outgrowths of the oak leaf (gall nut), from the water leaves. This transition is noticeable in the church of Saint-Urbain de Troyes, built during the last years of the 13th century. The large fleurons with three rows of leaves that end the gables of the windows are sculpted with a boldness, a nonchalance that reaches exaggeration (11).
