"Oil On Paper: Portrait (self-portrait?) Around 1820"
Interesting portrait of a young man, quickly brushed, covered with a sort of large cap, the visor of which casts a shadow on the upper part of the face. It is this original composition, playing on the shadow on the face, which suggests that it is a portrait of an artist, the headgear being a sort of ancestor of the cap, rather informal. the work is painted on paper, mounted on canvas from the period, canvas which seems very early. a small lack at the top and a slight lifting in the background dimensions of the canvas: 28 cm x 36 cm
