Beautiful And Graceful 18th Century Virgin On Base Forming Reliquary In Gilded Wood In Good Condition

Rare and beautiful mid-18th century gilded wood virgin on its beautiful black lacquered stepped pedestal base with its round molded gilded wood reliquary window dedicated to "Saveta Maria". This beautiful untouched virgin has a remarkable patina and some lacks in the gilding but it is a beautiful piece complete with her hands placed on her chest. It is mannerist and from the 18th century of the Louis XVI period. The drapery of her ample clothing is of great elegance and of a graceful and mastered execution, her face with beautiful expressiveness looks down at you, her right hand placed on the left brought back towards her chest. The respectable size is ideal for highlighting during this holiday season (see dimensions). The base adds to its majesty and highlights the gilding of this piece on which it rests, a piece untouched by abusive restoration, native, as it is in its purity.
