"Mirabeau - "letters Of Cachet...." - 1782"
First edition of the most symbolic of Mirabeau's works written during his arbitrary detention in Vincennes. The noise caused by this work was such that the minister of Louis XVI asked Prussia to immediately stop its publication and to destroy the existing copies. Published in Hamburg in 1782 (interesting typographical error on the date of publication). Two parts in one (334 + 211). Period binding, detached hinge, missing parts on the spine. Large octavo.
