Emile-Eugène Nourrigat is a French painter active between the 19th and 20th centuries.
He was a student of Jacquet and Flameng at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He appeared at the Salon des Artistes français, of which he became a member from 1909. He also exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants from 1910.
Nourrigat painted many mythological scenes, united by their small size and a particular use of color, in which he favored shades of red, blue and green, emphasizing them ostentatiously. His luminous painting of dancing fauns and nymphs, with deliberately blurred contours, is strongly inspired by the Impressionists and painters such as Gaston La Touche.
The painting is in excellent condition. There is a label on the back. In a blackened wooden frame.
