Pair of candlesticks, silver chiseled bronze candlesticks, decorated with 3 putti in the round supporting a bobèche.
The twisted shaft, richly decorated with scrolls of foliage in the Rococo style, rests on a wide base with tripod-shaped steps.
With in its center, 3 coats of arms representing : Hunting, War, and rarer, Freemasonry attributes.
Each bobèche is monogrammed M.A. for Juste-Aurèle Meissonnier (1695-1715) : goldsmith to the King in 1724, considered by his peers to be the leader of the rock style.
The whole is very richly worked with foliage, gadroons, interlacing, foliage, shells.
